The scientific objectives of the IRN Andes-FrenSZ are to better understand the behavior and dynamics of subduction zones, and to better characterize and anticipate the associated telluric hazards (earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, landslides).
The IRN aims to federate French research teams involved in these research topics, enhance their international visibility and facilitate collaborations with international partners involved in the study of the Andean (Chile, Peru, Ecuador, (…)
